This ball did not work well for me. I played with it during two rounds and on both occasions they punished off centre hits with much enhanced side spin both with a fade and a hook. Also high shots tended to balloon. I will give my third ball to a colleague to see what happens.

The courses have been so wet and soggy it is difficult to reach firm conclusions. However they seemed to give good results off both tee and fairway but I found them extremely lively on the greens.

Found the balls as good as I hoped keeping up the proV legend

Due to very wet conditions I've only managed two rounds with them but found them to perform well with a good flight and distance, as a high handicap player I don't generate a lot of spin but the feel of the ball was good on all shots and the ball has no visable damage to outer casing even after a few topped shots.

Very soft and responsive. I found out around the greens they were very Spinney and was very nice to put with overall a really good Ball

While I was thrilled to participate in a test ball exercise in 2014, I have not received any balls to test so am unable to provide feedback. Obviously, if balls have been delayed in delivery, I will be happy to test them and, as in the last test I participated in, give you full feedback. By the way, after discovering the ball I preferred in the last test was the NXT Tour S, it immediately replaced every ball in my inventory and is the only ball I currently use. I was so impressed that I also introduced it as the new ball in our corporate gift sets

Not had a chance to play as the weather has been awful and course is water logged in places with only a few holes open

I enjoyed using the ball, I liked the feel off the club face, I achieved good distance and control around the greens.
I would like to know which ball it is so that I can buy some

Hi Titleist, thanks for allowing me to participate in this ball test. I played it back to back with my current Titleist NXT Tour S and did notice a fair bit of difference:
Test ball was consistently 10 yards further on average for driving distance and the dispersion was tighter, much less movement sideways.
Chipping and pitch shots did not stop as quickly and ran out more than the NXT Tour S. Not really a disadvantage as such, but needed getting used to.
Feel of putting was more clicky than NXT Tour S but still rolled well.
Hope this helps.
I also gave one to a friend who loved it. Again he noticed a distance advantage of around 10-15 yards using the driver, and actually preferred the way the ball ran out on chips. He mentioned he would game this ball if it came out, in fact, he shot his best round of the year 2 days ago with this ball. he plays off 7 and shot 2 over.
Any chance you could diverge what type of ball this is, or what type of ball is based on?
Thanks.

Test Ball played like a balata about 5 to 10 yards driver and irons, good control for chipping and putting

Hi Hannah, Thank you for the chance to test the new balls. Have used these in quite testy conditions i.e. wind & rain with low temps in Dec.
Have found them extremely comfortable to play with. Initial response I felt them a bit soft (relative to NXT) but as the rounds progressed I was more than happy with the feel. Found them very accurate !! which is a bit subjective depending how your striking on the day. Holding on greens from 100 yds was very good but expect this in winter, so summer should be good when greens firm up. Chipping felt really nice with control off face. Putting was very nice also with good feel from strike off face.
Ive recently changed irons from reg flex 710 AP1's to Reg flex 710 CB's so expected a loss of distance but hey didn't so am really happy with them all round. Hope your going to advise which model I'm testing as I'm just waiting for summer conditions to enjoy them more.
Overall very pleased with the ball from long & short irons (3 to SW) Fairway woods & driver.
Thank you again for the chance of playing with this ball.

The balls were excellent and appeared to provide great feel and control as well as durability

I have not played a often as I normally have due to the weather here in East Lothian. But I normally play with Velocity balls and the tester ball felt similar but it did feel like I had more spin from it. But it might have been from the soft wet conditions. Will send more feedback if the weather improves. Thanks for sending me the balls to test and if you need anymore held just send me more.
Thanks again Gary Cunningham

Hi Hannah,
The balls felt really nice off the face of the clubs. They penetrated well through the air in these cooler damp conditions yet didn't feel hard like a dt solo or slightly softer velocity.
I felt they were great around the green and putting as this part of the game felt controlled I dictating a softer feeling ball.
Thanks for the opportunity to test them. If I can test anything else that would be great.
p.s out of interest what ball were they or compared to?
kind regards,
Rich

I found the distance off the tee was down, from my gaming ball. Not by a lot though between 5-10 yards on average.i had a few session on my local simulator. I'm guessing that these test balls were NXT as I felt that around the green the ball wasn't checking up as quick but once you got used to what they were doing they were very consistent. The balls, I felt had a nice feel to them with my irons in these wintery conditions. They would definitely be a ball I would consider using in these cooler months. Would be interested to know what it was that I was testing

Thank you for the opportunity to test the golf balls you sent. My initial reaction was that they felt softer compared to other Titleist golf balls, off both irons and putter but not so much off the driver. I currently play one of the lowest compression balls on the market as due to my age (69) I cannot swing fast enough to get the benefit (more distance) out of much harder golf balls so was quite pleased with the distances achieved. They also performed very well around the green particularly stopping power. Overall a nice ball.

Test ball is performing very well and compares very favourably with the ball I normally play at this time of year - the dt solo. The test ball has a good feel at impact no matter what the club from driver to putter. The ball flight is straight and true and on the putting green there is a good roll. The cover is with standing my occasional miss hit. so far an excellent ball - well done
