I got fitted for a Special Select Squareback 2 earlier this year, and I haven’t looked back.

I’m a shorter guy, so it’s 32 inches in length. It currently has a standard Pistolini grip, but looking to swap it for a Matador when I send my putter to the custom shop to add new new son’s initials.

Squareback 2, with Evenroll Gravity Grip, however I would prefer a squareback 1.5 with the flow neck , don’t really like the longer offset plumbers neck as much on this one..

Scotty cameron special select newport 2.5 - And i Love it! My first Scotty! :)
  5. Special Select Newport 2 w/ paint fill in the rear flange line and a milled top line.
  6. I have a special select Newport 2 in the bag currently but always go back to my California Sonoma. It’s currently off getting a restoration and will likely go straight back in the bag. Thinking of trying a phantom one of these days

I used to own a SC X5 and I changed up to a TM Hydro Blast Du Page. I think if I had the right putter neck and understanding of my stroke the X5 would've been fine. We'll see when I got back to team SC!
  8. I’m currently playing a 2010 California Monterey I picked up for a steal of a price in good condition for the age. Once spring hits, my t22 Newport will be back in the bag. I’d game it all year but it’s too soft for winter golf.

Our greens have been super fast lately, a bit too fast for a municipal course, which has been reshaped to be a Seth Raynor inspired course. Have abandoned my Scotty Select Newport 2 and playing my png PLD Anser because it holds faster greens better. This are my two putters that I game, all depending on the speed of the greens. The designer says there is nothing wrong with the greens other than we older guys cannot putt. A harsh statement to make publicly for seniors who support the course three to four days a week. Hakuna matata. I just use the putter that is working.

Used to use my Circa 62 no3 but have now gone with the Special Select Newport. The weight and look just suits my eye so much. Was lucky enough to go through a fitting at St Ives and it was clear that I didn’t feel comfortable with anything else nearly as much.
  12. Scotty 1.5 fastback
    Just purchased
  13. I am gaming a Scotty Cameron Select Fastback 2, 35" I love the weight and stability of this putter.
  14. I have several Scotties, but my go to is the Studio Design 1.5, gunmetal finish.
Light enough for faster greens and contact is smooth.

Just made the switch to the Scotty Cameron Newport 2. It’s currently in California getting a make over so hopefully it will be back soon!

I have a special select 2.5 that I love. It feels a little heavier which helps me keep it more stable I feel like. I also have a California series Del Mar too.
