  1. was able to put the new pro v1 up against last years pro v1 on a trackman. spin numbers on my driver with the new pro v1 went down compared to the older pro v1, which is great for me cause I tend to spin the ball a lot with the driver. iron and wedge spin was up compared to the older pro v1, and the feel off the putter was butter.

carry distance and ball speed were up compared to last years pro v1.

Titleist hit a homer with the new balls, Thank you Alan for sending me a sleeve of pro v's to test out, greatly appreciated.

    thank you,

I was lucky enough to be chosen to test the new ProV1 golf balls, which is a pretty unique and awesome experience. The first time I was chosen to test I was living in Florida and tested in sunny, warm, Florida-winter conditions. I now live in DC and play in Maryland, which offers a much different test in winter months. Two incredible experiences, but both so different. However, Titleist always seems to surpass my expectations by upgrading a ball that plays consistently well, regardless of conditions or location.

Today, I was finally able to get out and play and I hit a 290 yard drive in 29 degree weather; with much lower spin than its predecessor. Additionally, with cold, concrete-like greens, the 2021 ProV1’s stopping power was far superior to the TP5 balls my buddy was playing. I also game the special alignment balls for putting purposes and LOVE the new upgraded arrows on this ball as opposed to last year’s version.

To team titleist: thank you for this honor! I had a great time testing today.

To those that haven’t been selected yet: don’t worry! Keep engaged in the community and you’ll get a chance.

    Fairways and greens,

Got a sleeve of PV1x a couple of weeks ago....just got to try them out.....very nice....they are long...very long.

our courses around here are soaked so no real experience on chipping and pitching since a billiard ball would stop on the greens!

looking forward to playing them when things are dried out a bit.

    Thank you Titleist!
  4. Good Morning Team Titleist. I too was fortunate to receive a sleeve of the new 2021 Pro V1s. It has always been remarkable to me how Titleist has been able to improve with each subsequent release, the performance of its premium product. This year is no different...you are going to enjoy the performance characteristics of this release. I have now played two rounds with the new Pro VI, albeit under weather conditions that were definitely winter, but with mild temperatures (mid-40s). I ball felt fantastic off the driver (TS3i), fast off the face with great carry and rolling out longer distances for me. Its flight off irons was consistent, and felt welcomingly soft even under winter conditions. With wedges, the ball was easily flighted low or high, and checked up as expected, both from the fairway (90 yards in), and around the green. I cannot give much testimony as for putting, primarily because the greens were less than ideal to give valid feedback. All that said, with this week's upcoming release, I am sure that the wider Titleist community is going to be very pleased with all aspects of the 2021 Pro V1 family. Looking forward to reading additional impressions. Thank you again Titleist for the opportunity to provide an early opinion. Everyone stay safe and enjoy the upcoming golf season.

  5. Hey Team Titleist,

I received a sleeve of 2021 Pro V1 Golf balls, thank you for the opportunity to test and give feedback on my opinion of the ball. I took this ball to my local practice simulator facility.

On the green the ball rolled true and created harmonious acoustics off my Scotty Cameron Select Newport 2. I thought the alignment aide stamp was handedly an improvement. The look of the double sided arrow graphic is better and clearer than the previous model, in my opinion.

Around the green, I hit my SM7 60.10 S Grind, at 50 yards the ball spun on average 8,400 R.P.M. and checked up about 4 yards past the carry distance, good ball spin and landed as expected with stopping power. Hitting closer chips at 20 yards, the ball averaged 3,400 R.P.M. and was rolling out 5-7 yards. The ProV1 felt soft and reacted nicely on and around the Green.

Hitting full shots with my Ap3, 7 Iron on average I produced a ball speed of 90 M.P.H., ball spun at 4,250 R.P.M. and carried 125 yards rolling out another 10-12 yards for a total average distance of 135 yards. The ball felt firm and had a wonderful sound off the face of my club. Also, I found the ball to durable and not show scuffing after some 50 whacks at it.

I typically play the Titleist Tour Speed ball for a little more distance, but would definitely recommend this ball for a player looking for workability, performance and feel.

First off, thanks much Titleist for sending me the sleeve of new Pro V1s!!!! I couldn't wait to try them (although I was delayed due to weather and travel).

The ball definitely has a softer feel (especially off the putter and wedges). It's a pleasantly soft feel and sound but it doesn't feel like a marshmallow on any club (especially driver and irons). I noted an increase in distance but I plan to do further testing on Flightscope to see exactly how much with each club. Also, I noted the ball was launching through a higher window than usual but no negative impact on distance.

I spent about 30 minutes chipping and pitching to a practice green and was super impressed!!! The feel and sound (as previously mentioned) was amazing! The spin was definitely more on pitches; no problem getting the ball to bounce and stop. It definitely was responsive around the greens!!

Overall, loving the new ball and can't wait to get a dozen!!! I didn't think an already great ball could be improved but the R&D team has done it again! Thanks again for the opportunity to test the 2021 ProV1 !!!!

Played the front 9 with old ball then used the new PRO V1 on the back 9 was really surprised with the sound and feel really big difference from the old ball. Took me couple of holes to get used to it the wind was blowing 15 to 20 mph. Putting ball definitely feels softer but got use to it also in a couple holes ball did seem to fly a little lower which I did like, distance wise I could not be honest with the way the wind was blowing but did have a par 3 with the wind blowing right in our face hard 200yd. to the back of the green. So for me a driver off the tee drove of the green
rolled off the back of the green I usually hit a 4 wood if wind in our face but this was a strong wind or 6 wood if no wind or light wind.
I was going to play next day with only the 2021 PRO V1 but it looked like this.
So next time out will only play the 2021 and give a better report I'm thinking I will like it mainly because I am getting a little lower flight and it still had that drop and stop that has saved me many time from rolling off the green and into trouble.
PRO V1 looked good after 9.

The course I played on first test was at a short and tight course and it was also a little breezy- up to 25mph. Many of my shots were at 80-85% strength . The softer feel of the Pro V1 from the driver was noticeable but on irons felt even better and loved it. I'd like to say they fly a little lower on drives which is in my favor as most places I play at has been windy conditions.

A few days later, I putted and chipped with all three balls and they were excellent as it even inspired me to work extra time with my short game.

Yesterday, only got up to low 50s in temps with 6-9 mph breeze and had some good full shots- fun! There were many times that I was right along the same distance with the longer hitters in my group, but I know that's not a good measure, however, I'm passing my just passed my normal distances during warmer weather !!

The shine on the Pro V1 ball with one round each and some short game practice stayed pretty nice like almost new and I can't wait for the next round with them.

Thank you #TeamTitleistStaff for the opportunity!

I’m eager to try these. Allan, or others could you offer some insight on what has changed?

Guess I'm late getting my test balls and responding. Had not played from early October last year until last week when arrived at winter quarters in Alabama. Did range work for three day, played a round with some friends, then played a game solo and hit both an old Pro V1 and the new. I found little difference between the two. Surprisingly, played two balls for 18 and didn't lose one.

Ordered a new Fairway Wood the other day and I'm anxious to get it in play along with the new Pro V1's.

No numbers, only hit on holes where there were no forced carries. (Didn't want to lose a ball when testing it) . Loaned one to my playing partner (6 hcp and 10 years younger and a lot longer than me) to get a taste of what a good golfer can do with this ball as well as what an old hacker can do.
We both enjoyed hitting the new ball. Never got out of the fairway, we each finished with the ball we started with. Accuracy was the key for me, greenside spin for him. Little distance change for him, I found myself in places I didn't normally hit to, 20-30 yards on a couple of holes. Going straight makes a difference.

First of all wanted to say thanks to the folks at Titleist for allowing me to test a white box sample sleeve of the new Pro V1x. It's been cold but I was fortunate enough to get out and play in somewhat mild conditions last weekend, before that I spent a considerable amount of time putting and chipping/pitching with the new balls and several of the 2019 balls.

On a blind test it's quite difficult for me to tell the difference just on feel, but hit back to back it does seem like the 2021 ball is a bit softer; this is most noticeable on putts. It's not a night and day difference, but certainly an iterative change. I don't have access to any sort of launch monitor equipment, but on chip and pitch shots the spin seems to be fairly similar, the ball behaves as I expected around the greens. On full shots it does seem to me like the ball flights slightly higher, particularly noticeable with a couple shots I hit with my 3 wood. Not sure what that says about how well my 3 wood is fit for me, but the ball does as it is advertised. Durability is about the same from the couple rounds I played.

Overall it's the same quality that we've all come to know and expect from Titleist. By no means am I going to be dumping the remainder of my 2019 Pro V1x's, but when I run out I'll gladly buy the 2021 model. Also I was curious so I cut one open and compared it to the 2019; I have no clue what materials I am looking at but it is clear which is which.

  13. Looking forward to playing with the new ProV1s. I have been playing the ProV1s brand for awhile now. I love the action off the face and last year was lucky enough to achieve one of my goals (HOLE IN ONE). Playing the ProV1 on a par 3 127 yards. The feel off the club face is my biggest reason why I play these and the action of the ball around the greens. We just had 5 inches of snow here in Massachusetts so looks like I have time to purchase a new box of ProVs

The new ProV1's are fantastic. When it was Windy out I used the ProV1 and it was great into the wind. When I need to carry the golf ball I use the ProV1x. They are superior to last years balls. I especially like the feel in my long irons, I don't get the clank coming off the golf ball. Titleist has hit another home run with it golf ball brand. Also they compliment the TSi drivers exceptionally. The other manufacturers claim there ball is better, but you see the guys on tour playing Titleist golf balls. That should summarize the story. Keep up the great work you do in R&D. Sincerely.

Two balls that are legitimately better than the previous generation. When you change the manufacturing process and dimple pattern, this isn't a small change. This is years of R&D coming to fruition.
  18. I received a test sleeve of ax’s a few weeks ago... only got one round in due to the weather, but from the shots I hit they feel really nice, possibly softer than last gen, they also seem to perform wel on distance on the tee while keep great trajectory and spin around the greens. Seems to be a solid improvement and looking forward to more testing!!
  19. I was fortunate enough to receive the white box from Titleist and test the pro v1x the 2021 model is definitely an upgrade the first thing I noticed was the increased spin it was much-needed as I know most people struggle with short game control the short game is where you want to be testing your balls and that's where Titleist says you want to pick your ball is judging on short game second thing I noticed was that the pro v1x I tested was very clicky off the wedge it definitely had audible feedback but it was soft at the same time I don't know how they did it but it's of clicky and soft with extra stopping power it was also a smidge longer off the tee great job this fall is going to help a lot of people I think with short game control the most
  20. The 2021 Pro V1 and pro v1x are most definitely an upgrade! Titleist continues to advance.
