Just had a chance to try out the new sleeve on a 70’s day in central FL on a gem likely one of the nicest courses you never hear bout, Pinecrest Golf Club in Avon Park. Beautiful greens.
Loved the new ProV1, seemed a little flatter on the landing off the tee. While I am 58 and just an 11, can still put the ball back in my stance and spin it around the green. I was having a very good ballstriking day and a 79 even with one 7. Tried the last 3 versions side by side on the practice green as well.
Feel was really solid but good spin, not as clicky as the older versions, reminded me of an old friend, the Precept EV Extra Spin circa 1990’s. Very solid feel but not hard. Seems like the dimples are a bit smaller and more numerous and like the look.
Overall, I give the new version best in class for me, not an expert, but still have an opinion to share.

I decided to play a quick nine before work today with my new Pro Vs. I normally play the Tour speed.
Distance better. Ball flight better.
What I noticed immediately and throughout the nine holes, the ball checked on the green. Whether it was irons shots or wedges, the ball it rolled and stopped.
I honestly played my best nine holes ever and am fully on board.
Thank you Titleist.

I finally was able to get to a Trackman to test out the 2021 Pro V1 test balls that were sent to me.
First of all, thank you very much Titleist. Really appreciate the opportunity to test them out. Second of all, my current gamer call is the 2019 Pro V1X. The primary reason is to help add spin to my mid iron and wedge approach shots. We had Titleist reps at my course one day during our men's league and the rep recommended I go with Pro V1X, so I did.
I was a little surprised when the test box contained V1s instead of V1Xs, but I'm so glad they did. The feel of the 2021 Pro V1 is stupid crazy good. When I was warming up with wedges I remember saying to myself if the numbers are even close I'm going to switch solely based on how great they feel.
I uploaded as many photos as the website would allow me, and I know numbers change drastically between shots so showing a single shot for each ball isn't a great representation. But the primary take away for me after the session was I was getting a slightly higher ball flight from the 2021 V compared to the 2019 X and slightly more spin from the 2019 X on mid irons. Wedge shots they were pretty much the same ball. All that said the feel aspect for me has me really contemplating a switch.
I know others have mentioned that the 2021 X has a softer feel so I will most likely get a sleeve of those from my course and test them all on course. I never noticed it before, but the 2019 X feels like I'm thinning shots now that I've hit the softer ball (confirmed I'm not by foot spray on the face).
More testing to do for sure, but wanted to report my findings so far. Now if only I were able to get outside. Apparently we have snow coming this weekend so it will most likely be quite awhile before I can get outside to test. Come on spring, get here already!
